Football legend Diego Maradona shows off his new look after a rumoured facelift operation - but can’t hide his bulging belly.
Diego, 54, posed for a picture alongside his on-off girlfriend Rocio Oliva, 24, after reportedly going under the knife to get rid of bags under his eyes and complete laser treatment to soften his skin.
Argentine papers claim he agreed to the makeover so he could look younger for Rocio, who he is now back with after getting her arrested last summer over claims she stole hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery and watches from his mansion in Dubai.
The pictures emerged as the pair enjoyed a break together in Cuba where Maradona, who has battled drink, drug and weight problems, is filming a new sports programme.
Rocio agreed to a reunion with Diego late last year despite the theft claims and a nasty incident in which her on-off boyfriend appeared to assault her in a a video leaked to an Argentine TV station.
The former Barcelona and Naples midfielder was filmed staggering off his sofa looking the worse for wear before moaning at her for using her mobile and apparently striking her twice with his right hand as she screamed at him to stop.
Diego claimed afterwards he had only knocked the phone out of her hand and would never hit a woman.
He spent time back in the arms of ex Veronica Ojeda, 35, the mother of his child Diego Fernando, two tomorrow/on Friday, before hooking up again with Rocio.
Former PE instructor Veronica said on Wednesday: “I’m not in contact with Diego. I haven’t seen him since Christmas.”
