Barcelona secured a 3-1 win over Villarreal in their Copa del Rey first leg semi-final clash at the Camp Nou.
Luis Enrique opted leave out Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets and Xavi, as Javier Mascherano and Rafinha joined Andres Iniesta in the midfield.
It took a while for Barcelona to get going in the first half and had a goal disallowed in the 32nd minute, as Neymar was flagged for being in an offside position.
The hosts managed to open the scoring just before the halftime break, courtesy of fine finish from Lionel Messi, after he was teed up by Luis Suarez.
Villarreal managed to level matters shortly after the halftime break, as Manu Trigueros rose highest to head past Marc-André ter Stegen.
However, Enrique's men restored their lead three minutes after Villarreal's equalsier, thanks to a close range finish from Iniesta.
Barca added a third in the 64th minute, as Pique got on the end of Messi's cross to get his name on to the score-sheet.
The home side could have had a fourth goal in the closing stages, but Neymar had his penalty saved by Sergio Asenjo.
