Real Madrid And Microsoft Partner Up
Real Madrid and software giants Microsoft have teamed up to help bring the club closer to its millions of supporters from around the world.
The club believes the new partnership will allow their supporters access to more information about the team, and will also allow them to get their hands on some exclusive images.
Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño felt that Real Madrid were always pioneers when it came to modern trends, and that this initiative proves that.
"Real Madrid have always been pioneers at the forefront of modern trends, and now we want our fans to feel even closer to the club through a technological platform that will increase their access to information.” Butragueño said at the presentation of the agreement.
Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft's sports department, Sebastián Lancestremére confirmed that the club has around 125 million fans worldwide and this partnership will help supporters feel closer to the team.
"This technological application will allow fans at the stadium to individually follow the player they want, view repeats of goals from different camera angles,” he told the media
“It’s also for the millions of fans around the world who support the team and its players, to make direct purchases of products and other things related to the club.”
Real Madrid are back in action this weekend and will be hoping that they get back to winning ways as they host Deportivo La Coruna.
