Southampton fearing ANOTHER summer exodus as trio of stars all stall on new contracts

Morgan Schneiderlin, Nathaniel Clyne and Jay Rodriguez have all been offered renewals at St Mary's but as of now are yet to sign

Non-committal: Clyne is one of three players yet to decide on his Saints future
Southampton fear a repeat of last season’s summer transfer carnage as they await responses to a string of contract offers from a trio of their top stars, writes Neil Moxley in Sunday People Sport.
The Saints have moved to prevent another mass exodus from St Mary’s by offering deals to Morgan Schneiderlin, Nathaniel Clyne and Jay Rodriguez.
But none has so far shown any hurry in putting pen to paper.
And that has left officials fearing a repeat of 12 months ago when the club was rocked by the departures of Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw.

Gone: Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana both joined Liverpool last summer
At the end of the current campaign Rodriguez and Clyne will have just one year left on their contracts.
Schneiderlin still has two years but Southampton were anxious to give the France international a pay hike to keep him out of Spurs’ clutches.
But so far none has shown any indication that they are prepared to stay beyond this summer.
Clyne is a target for Manchester United and the other two are on the radar of former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.
That will leave Ronald Koeman and the Southampton recruitment team with huge holes to fill for the second successive season after making such a decent fist of the current campaign.
The Dutchman was prepared to raid Holland for Tonny Vilhena in the days leading up to the closure of the transfer window – a deal exclusively revealed in Sunday People Sport.
