Kane bagged his 21st and 22nd goals of the season in Spurs' 2-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday afternoon and now the stats suggest he deserves an England call-up
Harry Kane etched his name further into Tottenham's history books on Saturday afternoon, as he bagged the two goals to secure a breathtaking comeback win for Spurs.
After Spurs went in after half-time a goal behind, the young Englishman fired home twice in the second half to send the White Hart Lane crowd into delirium.
And with England manager Roy Hodgson in the crowd, there will be no surprise if Kane now gets a call-up to the next England squad.
But why does he deserve that call-up? Well, the numbers don't lie. Some of the statistics surrounding the 21-year-old are just astonishing.
Kane signed a new five-and-half year contract on deadline day, taking his wages up to £30,000-a-week, as a reward for his goals.
By scoring twice in the north London derby, becoming the hero of the day, he notched his 21st and 22nd goals of the current campaign in all competitions. No other player in the Premier League has scored as many.
