Real Madrid follow Barcelona in agreeing to reduce disparity in TV income in La Liga

Los Blancos have agreed to a system under which they will earn no more than four times the broadcast revenue of the lowest-paid side in the league

New era: Real have agreed to a more just distribution of TV rights
Real Madrid have agreed to a new TV rights system that aims to reduce income disparity in La Liga.
Los Blancos have joined Barcelona in lending their support to a proposal that would see the two Spanish giants earn no more than four times the TV revenue of the smallest sides in the division, according to Bloomberg.
The pair currently bring in more than six times the broadcast revenue of the lowest-paid sides in La Liga but will now allow Primera Division representatives negotiate on behalf of the league as a whole.
Real's support, of 41 teams who met on Friday, only Bilbao side Athletic Club are yet to agree to the scheme.
Under the current system, around half of the €800million in La Liga TV rights goes to Barcelona and Real.
