The former Sheffield United stopper will miss Friday's Scottish Championship clash with Hibernian after being found guilty by the SFA of breaching gambling rules
Rangers keeper Steve Simonsen has been banned for two matches, one of which is suspended, for breaching betting rules.
The former Stoke and Sheffield United stopper was found guilty of betting on a total of 55 games from last season and this, and will miss Friday's clash with Hibernian at Ibrox.
SFA Disciplinary Rule 33 prohibits players, coaches, club officials and referees in Scotland from betting on football anywhere in the world.
An SFA tweet read: "Steve Simonsen (Rangers FC) receives two-match ban (one match immediate and one match suspended until end of season)."
Rangers assistant boss Gordon Duie confirmed the Scottish giants would not be appealing the ban.
