Laudrup insists that he is happy managing Lekhwiya in the Qatari league, but insists it is a good thing that he is linked to the game's biggest jobs
Michael Laudrup insists he will not be returning to the Premier League to take charge of Queens Park Rangers.
He has also refuted claims that he is set to become manager of the Japan national team, who he has also been linked to in recent days.
The former Swansea boss is currently in charge of Lekhwiya in Qatar and has guided them to the top of the division - and insists that he has no intention of walking away to become Harry Redknapp's recplacement.
Laudrup admits that it is nice to be linked with such jobs, but is not in a position to leave at the moment.
He is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: "I am going nowhere. I'm on contract with Lekhwiya until June 30, the team is number one, we are in the Champions League in Asia so I'm staying in Qatar.
"I'm very pleased that my name is on the list in other clubs but I'm not leaving Qatar now."
The Dane's former agent Bayram Tutumlu told the London Evening Standard that his former client would love to move back to the Premier League, but does not believe that he will leave his current role.
Tutumli insists that Laudrup is very loyal and will not walk away from a club who are doing well.
He said: “Michael signed a contract for one-year with Lekhwiya in Qatar. The club, the president, the owner is very, very happy with him.
“It’s the same owners as Paris St Germain and these people pay very well, a lot of money. I don’t think they will let him go. Michael has taken them to first place in the league and he is regarded as the most important person in the club right now.
“I don’t think it is the right thing for Michael to leave now and go because he has agreed a contract with these people. I don’t think it’s possible.”
QPR owner Tony Fernandes confidently declared to Twitter on Tuesday that he believes he has got the right man for the job at QPR.
