Atletico thrash Real Madrid - so 30 year-old Cristiano Ronaldo is DEFINITELY past it

In his first game since he turned 30, Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid lost 4-0… and the world's best footballer played like a man who needed a nap

Old Man Cristiano: "It wasn't like this in my day" etc etc
It's common knowledge among football fans: once a player reaches 30, he's past it.
Just look at Cristiano Ronaldo's performance in today's Madrid derby. Most people are going to focus on Atletico Madrid 4-0 thrashing of Real's Galacticos.
Not us. We're going to concentrate on the fact it was Cristiano's 30th birthday last week. It seems that the man who was the world's best footballer in his 20s is rubbish in his 30s.
Just look at the visual evidence of the old man's display today:

"Can I get a blanket for my legs? There's a terrible draught down here"

Denis Doyle

"Look - there's a free seat up there! I might go and have a little sit down"

Denis Doyle

"Damn, my back hurts. I could be lying on a bed of money right now…"

Denis Doyle
Obviously we're joking - Ronaldo has clearly got a few years left in him yet. But then we saw this tweet, showing what Real Madrid's main man ACTUALLY did in today's 4-0 defeat.
