Here's all the latest Reds stories from today's Daily Mirror...
Rodgers: Coutinho can follow in Suarez footsteps
Brendan Rodgers hailed Phlippe Coutinho’s brilliant, miraculous winner last night, by insisting he can follow Luis Suarez’s path to world greatness.
The Brazilian with magic in his feet struck an injury time winner to break poor Bolton hearts, as the underdogs came within four minutes of another seismic FA Cup earthquake.
A penalty from veteran Eidur Gudjohnsen had threatened another massive shock, but Raheem Sterling saved Liverpool’s blushes to level on 86 minutes. It was Coutinho though, who provided the star quality with his winner deep into stoppage time.
“He will become world class in the next couple of years. Luis Suarez was at a level then he played in this team and grew and grew with the model and went into the world-class bracket,” the Reds boss insisted.
“I can see Coutinho (growing) in the same sort of way. He might not be as prolific as Suarez was, but he is certainly on the way to that level at Liverpool."
Sterling in row with man who scouted him
A former football scout who first signed Raheem Sterling for just £50 has upset the striker by saying he has seen better players.
Former Queen’s Park Rangers scout Peter Moring says Sterling, now worth £50million, wasn't the best he had ever seen during his long scouting career.
But the Liverpool and England striker, now 20, feels let down over the comments, and has hit back on Twitter, tweeting his disappointment to his 1.13million followers.
The Premier League star wrote: "Instead of saying your happy for another young lad out of the community living his dream you say he wasn't the best in the area.
"'Your 2 small you will never make it.' funny enough best advice I have ever had at the age of 12."
