New kid on the block: Gerrard will keep his favoured number ahead of the move
Steven Gerrard will wear his iconic No.8 shirt for LA Galaxy.
The Liverpool captain has worn the eight shirt for over 10 years at Anfield - and will keep the same shirt when he starts his new adventure in the MLS in the summer.
Gerrard is set to make his debut for Galaxy in the the July 17 clash with San Jose Earthquakes and supporters have been urged to buy their shirts with the Englishman's name on the back now.
The kit can already be pre-ordered from the club's online store, but it will not be a cheap buy.
A long-sleeved replica shirt will cost a monumental £134 ($204.99), while you can save £20 by buying a short-sleeved version. Replicas of Gerrard's Liverpool can be bought for £40 during the current sale on the Reds' website, in comparison.

Iconic: Gerrard has scored some famous goals while wearing No.8
Gerrard is set to feature in what is likely to be his final ever Merseyside derby on Saturday evening, as Liverpool travel to Goodison Park.
The talisman scored his 10th goal in Merseyside derbies earlier in the season, during the 1-1 draw at Anfield. Only Ian Rush, Dixie Dean and Alex Young have scored more goals in games between the two sides.
But Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that he wants to make Gerrard's final derby one to forget, as the Toffees look to win their first clash between the two since a 2-0 victory in 2010.
