Jose Mourinho To End Media Boycott
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will reportedly end his media boycott today and attend his normal pre-match press conference.
The Portuguese snubbed last week’s pre-match briefing ahead of the clash with Manchester City after being fined £25,000 by the FA.
The Blues manager had suggested a ‘campaign’ was going on to prevent his side from lifting the Premier League title.
Chelsea had confirmed that they would not host any media briefing, not even by Mourinho’s assistant, after Diego Costa received a three-match ban for stamping on Liverpool’s Emre Can.
Mourinho then refused to speak to any journalists before, and even after, the 1-1 draw against title chasers Manchester City.
The league leaders still hold a five-point advantage over Manchester City and travel to Aston Villa this weekend.
Apart from Costa, Cesc Fabregas is also still expected to be sidelined for the trip to Villa Park.
